Man Crashes Into A Restaurant While Attempting To Hit His Girlfriend [PHOTOS]

A man crashed his SUV into a Central Los Angeles restaurant on Sunday after trying to actually run his girlfriend over. The restaurant called East India Grill found on La Brea was open at the time and suffered multiple damages to its patio, in addition to some tables.

Fortunately, no actual people got hurt (and that no one was seated in the patio!). Eater reports that the incident happened when the suspect had an argument with his girlfriend at a gas station near the restaurant.

The man then threatened the girlfriend, probably forcing the woman to opt to walk down someplace else instead. As the woman was strolling, the angry man under the influence of some road rage perhaps, ended up crashing his SUV into the front of the restaurant.

Brian Suh, probably a diner at the restaurant at the time of the accident, was able to take photos of the incident and posted it on his Instagram account. The photo was captioned, "dude tried to run over his gf after a fight."

According to CBS Los Angeles, the accident is currently under investigation by the police. However, no arrests were even pursued due to the lack of evidence regarding the driver's intentions to run over his girlfriend.

Gem Aggabao, a witness of the incident, says she heard tires squealing and a woman yelling that her boyfriend was driving the car. Aggabao further claims that the girlfriend was threatened by driver when she wanted to leave the vicinity of the gas station.

However, KTLA claims that police are currently looking for the man in question for using the SUV as a weapon. The man had fled the scene before the police even arrived.

In fact, the publication reports that J. Twycross, a Los Angeles Police Department Officer, said that an incident of domestic violence and "an assault with a deadly weapon" were reported around 3:15pm at the restaurant.

KTLA further suggests that the SUV in question had in fact been reported stolen.
