Ryder Cup 2012: Europe Wins in Upsetting Comeback, Fans Take to Twitter to Vent

Team Europe wins the Ryder Cup 2012 over Team USA in a dramatic comeback that has not been seen since 1999, when Americans were behind in similar fashion 10-6. This time, it was the Europeans who took the lead on Sunday, and held it winning 8 1/2 points to pass the 14 points needed to win the Ryder Cup. Europe won seven out of the nine first matches and was in a good position to clinch the win.

Martin Kaymer delivered the winning point in his singles match against Steve Stricker with a 6-foot putt. During that time, Tiger Woods and Francesco Molinari were on the course and tied, giving both teams 1/2 point.

In a poll taken by FWN, nearly 65% believed that Team USA would win, while 35% believed Team Europe would win. Who would've guessed that Europe would make such an epic comeback as today, and history will remember.

Fans from both sides take to Twitter to celebrate and vent:
