Vomiting Virus Outbreak Update: One Food Suspected for Virus Affecting Thousands in Germany

A vomiting virus outbreak occurred in Germany that affected over 8,400 children across schools and childcare centers. It is highly suspected that the spread of the norovirus was caused by one food from the same supplier. Some children were hospitalized after incurring symptoms including vomiting, stomach cramps, diarrhea and nausea.

The case is currently being investigated to find the root of the problem. The Examiner reported that the number of cases have been rising. Scientists are conducting lab experiments to determine the exact cause of the outbreak.

Meanwhile, a norovirus has affected people in New Zealand due to a contaminated water supply. Some Australian tourists reportedly caught the contagious bug and brought it back to their own homeland also.
