Pope Francis Unexpectedly Becomes a Burger King Endorser

Pope Francis, on tour in Bolivia, had to use a Burger King restaurant in Santa Cruz to change into his vestments before a mass.  Before the Pope could say a final "Amen", Burger King has already posted on Facebook an image of the Holy Pope beneath a Burger King logo with the caption "There are visits that don't just bring joy to your spirit, but also feed it".

Hundreds of thousands of Catholics were gathered at the Christ the Redeemer Square for mass with the Pope.  Earlier on he was riding his popemobile, greeting the enormous crowd that has gathered.

It was a good thing that the nearby Burger King was not open, but closed in reverence to the Papal Visit.  The manager willingly opened it when a member of the Pope's entourage requested it for His Holiness' use.

Pope Francis is famous for being unpretentious, not wanting to inconvenience people as much as possible.  It was not an issue for him to do a fast change in a fast-food restaurant.  He is known to use old vestments, not wanting new or expensive ones.  His adornments are limited to the necessities.

In Bolivia, he spoke about Capitalism and its ill effects to society.  He inspired the Catholics to protect their dignity.  He discouraged the mindset of earning profit at any price, and the greedy practices which result to unfair treatment of laborers.

His powerful message centered on three L's:  land, lodging and labor.  He called for a 'communitarian economy' where there is equal distribution of goods.  He admonished the capitalists:  'not to share wealth with poor is to steal'

Bolivian President Evo Morales presented Pope Francis with a wooden hammer and sickle, which had a figurine of Jesus Christ.  Pope Francis is the first Latin American Pope.  He is on a week-long travel in South America, making stops in Ecuador, Bolivia and Paraguay.
