Conan O’Brien Show 2015: Lawsuit Claims TBS Host Stealing Jokes From Twitter, Is Coco Plagiarizing?

Being one of the most recognizable faces in late-night television for the past 20 years, Conan O'Brien's show 2015 is an American institution, as the famous redhead is currently hosting "Conan" on TBS after a massive scandal with Jay Leno and "The Tonight Show" - but there's someone out there claiming Conan's material isn't really his.

A man named Robert Alexander Kasenberg recently filed a lawsuit against the Conan O'Brien show in 2015, claiming that the comedian or someone on his staff of writers took four of his tweets and then turned them into jokes on "Conan" over the course of the past year.

According to The Daily Mail, Kasenberg, from San Diego, claims that Conan O'Brien's show 2015 claims that his tweets were stolen and then added as part of Coco's monologue on the same night, on subjects from Caitlyn Jenner's transition to Tom Brady.

The New York Daily News reports that Kasenberg filed the lawsuit against Conan O'Brien's show 2015 last July 22 in the California federal court, presenting evidence from tweets from January 14 all the way to the most recent one on June 9.

"OH NO WE'VE BEEN FOUND OUT," tweeted Andy Richter, the longtime announcer of Conan O'Brien show 2015, having collaborated with the 52 year-old comedian for many years. "There's no possible way more than one person could have concurrently had these same species-elevating sights! THESE TAKES ARE TOO HOT!"

According to Mediaite, in the lawsuit, Kasenberg recalls a phone conversation he had with Mike Sweeney, the head writer of "Conan," where he angrily denied all claims of plagiarism and went on to insult Kasenberg.

Upon hearing of the accusations, representatives for Conan O'Brien's show 2015 have dismissed the lawsuit as ridiculous and lacking in foundation; however, Entertainment Weekly reports that TBS hasn't yet responded to make comments on the recent lawsuit.
