'Queen of Versailles' Daughter Autopsy: Victoria Seigel Died Of Accidental Drug Overdose

American reality TV show personality, Victoria Seigel, whose family was the focus of Lauren Greenfield's 2012 documentary 'The Queen of Versailles', died earlier in June. Her body's autopsy results were released yesterday, July 29, according to reports.

The 18-year old daughter of actress Jacqueline Mallery and David Siegel, who's known for her appearance in the 'Queen of Versailles' died due to an accidental overdose after she reportedly suffered from addiction to a drug she was using to control her seizures.

Reports from the Orange County Medical Examiner's Office stated that Victoria's cause of death was due to methadone and sertraline toxicity, which were the major components identified by a series of tests.

The deceased heiress, who was first found completely unresponsive by the family's housekeeper in their $65 million mansion on June 6, was pronounced dead upon arrival at the Health Central Hospital Ocoee, Florida.

Attorney Michael Marder, lawyer of the Seigel family, said in his statement in June, that Victoria went through a voluntary rehabilitation so she will not heavily rely on her prescription medicine for seizures.

However, Marder added that "it could not be determined" as to whether the drugs she was taking at that time were the ones prescribed or not.

During the same day that the autopsy results were released, Atty. Marder was asked for more details of the autopsy. However, no further information has been given.

The Center for Disease Control and Prevention web site described Methadone as a 'drug used to treat drug addiction' while Sertraline is used to 'treat depression'.

The documentary film 'Queen of Versailles' tells a story of the Seigel family's lavish lifestyle, including the building of their 90,000- square-foot Windermere mansion.
