What's Next For Ronda Rousey After Dominating Bethe Correia?

Yesterday at UFC 190 in Rio de Janeiro, mixed martial arts superstar Ronda Rousey successfully defended her UFC bantamweight title for the sixth consecutive time.

She only needed 34 seconds to dispatch her latest foe, Bethe Correia, with a punishing barrage of strikes. The Brazilian native joins an ever growing list of title contenders who have been manhandled by the 28 year old champion. The only good news for Correia was that she managed to last that long. Rousey's two previous opponents, Cat Zingano and Alexis Davis, were defeated in 14 and 16 seconds respectively.

With yet another dominating performance under her belt, what else is there for Rousey to accomplish? UFC bigwigs like Chairman Lorenzo Fertitta and President Dana White are looking at the prospect of organizing a third fight between Rousey and rival Miesha Tate. The two have twice previously, with Tate losing via armbar submission both times. She does however, hold the distinction of being the only fighter to make it out of the first round against Rousey.

According to the LA times, the UFC is looking at pairing Rousey - Tate III as co-main event together with the long awaited featherweight title showdown between Conor McGregor and Jose Aldo. The proposed card, which could potentially be the richest and most lucrative in the promotion's history, would take place December 5 at the Dallas Cowboys AT&T Stadium.

Another name being thrown around as a potential Rousey challenger is current Invicta FC World Featherweight Chamion Cristiane 'Cyborg' Justino. The one hurdle to this fight becoming a reality is Justino's ability to make the 135 weight limit. According to the Washington Post, Dana White wants Justino to fight once at 135 before committing her to a showdown with the champion. Here's what Rousey had to say about the prospect:

"I prefer [someone] who makes weight and doesn't do drugs," Rousey said on Fox Sports 1. "The fight's there for Cyborg. She can make 145 pumped full of steroids. She can move down to 135 without 'em. I'm not going anywhere. I don't know why people act like I have so much to prove when she's the one who has to prove she can fight legitimately."
