Kate Mara Interview: Atlanta Host Goes Racist To ‘Fantastic Four’ Mara And Michael B. Jordan, Things Get Awkward [VIDEO]

While "Fantastic Four" isn't exactly the most highly awaited superhero film of the season (and in fact audiences and critics seem disappointed in advance for the upcoming 20th Century Fox film), it still counts with a fairly impressive cast currently touring to promote the movie, and that includes a Michael B. Jordan and Kate Mara interview that went really, really sour.

A string of awkward interviews have been making headlines in the past few months, starting with Robert Downey Jr. during an "Avengers: Age of Ultron" press junket to interviewers being obnoxious to Amy Schumer and Cara Delevingne over the past few days, and now there's the Kate Mara interview to top it all off.

According to Salon, the now infamous Kate Mara interview had her and Jordan speaking to Atlanta's Rock 100.5 host Steven J. Rickman (who is known as Southside Steve to his listeners) started asking how was it that white Mara and black Jordan were playing brother and sister.

"They could be raised as brother and sister," said Jordan during the very awkward Kate Mara interview, E! Online reports. "There's a whole bunch of family dynamics that could be without the 'obvious adoption.'"

However, that's only when the awkwardness started, as then Rickman decided it was all right for him to comment on Mara's haircut (she's currently sporting a pixie cut), asking why she'd cut it off while saying she was "way hot" with her long locks, and how much he hoped she grew it back

As the actress grew uncomfortable during this Kate Mara interview, according to The New York Daily News, things still could get a little bit worse - after she explained she'd gotten her hair short for a role, Rickman went on to say he was a "toe guy" and to comment that her "toes are fine."

The hosts of the radio show tried to explain themselves through a statement to Buzzfeed, but to little avail, as Kate Mara's interview (which you can watch below) went viral.
