Bankrupt 50 Cent Rents Out Mansion that is ‘Financially Cursed’

Last month, 50 Cent, real name Curtis Jackson, filed for bankruptcy.  More recently, he had to appear in court to answer questions about his finances. But he seemed clueless on some of the details of his personal life.He could not even produce an ID with his Social Security number. After consultation with his finance advisers and meeting with his creditors, he is putting up his Connecticut estate for rent.  Apparently, this same mansion used to be owned by Mike Tyson, who also filed for bankruptcy while living in the house.  Before him, a Lithuanian businessman had the same sad fate.

Maybe it was cursed, or maybe 50 Cent just had too much going on.The rent for the estate has not yet been announced, but TMZ reports it costs $ 72,000 per month to maintain the house. It has 21 bedrooms, 9 kitchens, and a casino of its own.

The 40-year old rapper has lost his fortune along with his cultural relevance. He listed a monthly expense of $ 108,000, which includes a car lease on the Bentley for $ 5,745, child support of $ 12,000 for two children, support of a grandparent in the amount of $ 2,500, and because he is 50 Cent, he budgets himself $ 3,000 for clothing allowance and $ 1,000 for grooming.

More than his overhead expenses, he has legal fees and lawsuits left and right. A Florida woman, Lastonia Leviston, won a court battle against the rapper to the tune of $ 7 million. Leviston and another rapper, Rick Ross has a daughter.   50 Cent and Ross are rival rappers. 50 Cent uploaded a personal sex video of Leviston with another man, without Leviston's permission. She previously asked for $ 15 million in damages, but was awarded $ 7 million.

Another lawsuit which 50 Cent has to pay off involves Sleek Audio for $ 17 million. They allege that the rapper stole their headphone idea.50 Cent has a company, SMS that sells headphones.

According to Forbes, 50 Cent is worth $ 25 million. Guess the rapper has to ask his team of 3 lawyers and 1 accountant about that.
