Pixar’s ‘Most Realistic’ Film Looks Inside a Girl’s Mind

Pixar released a new animated film that would surely capture the attention of its audience everywhere as it revolves around the story of a girl named Riley, and her five emotions that push her buttons and handles her memories.

As per Inquirer, Docter and del Carmen [ the makers of the animated film] touched a delicate side of the human anatomy which is the mind, they carefully researched on the film and on how the emotions worked; they even consulted a psychologist to validate each character's function. The five emotions highlighted on the film are Joy [Amy Poehler] Fear [Bill Hader], Disgust [Mindy Kaling], Anger [Lewis Black] and Sadness [Phyllis Smith].

As per the Business World, Pete Docter, the director, described the film as "simultaneously the most realistic film we've ever done and its completely fantasy at the same time"

Though the film is a bit deep for it's young viewers the makers of "Inside Out" believed that kids today are more intelligent and equipped in accepting these messages saying:

"I think the kids and the world generally are way more intelligent, smart and equipped than we give them credit for. There is dark stuff out there that I think is actually a part of growing up" he then added "We actually had Depression as a character, a malevolent force that took over, which we ended up backing away from, not because it was too extreme but because it didn't have the message we wanted to convey about Joy learning to accept Sadness as a useful part of life which is the statement of the film"

Ronaldo del Carmen, Co-Director of "Inside Out" then stated: "For us the boundaries are very real but we actually didn't think of the boundaries of in terms of subject matter, though we have to be careful"

Though it was said that "Inside Out" is "darker" than regular animated films, del Carmen explain that this concept is not new to Pixar, he then noted a similar picture when he stated the similar situation of another Pixar animated film Up which premiered way back in 2009.
