At 17 years old, this 'Modern Family' star already has 32F breasts. Not only did she have to suffer physical and emotional pain, it also required strapping down her monsters during filming for their TV series.
Wardrobe was a problem on the set of their series. She was using a lot of big sweaters, and being strapped down. 'I understand that it doesn't fit the character they have in mind. I understand that. But it was difficult to do that every day.'
She shares on Celebrity Yahoo about her ordeal, 'Every article that has to do with me on a red carpet always had to do with 'Ariel Winter's Crazy Cleavage!' Or 'Ariel Winter Shows Huge Boobs At An Event!'" she says. "That's all people would recognize me by, not, 'Oh, she does great work on Modern Family.'
Before Ariel had the operation, she talked with Julie Bowen, who plays her mother in the sitcom, who was very supportive of her. She also talked with her family, who totally understood, because some of her cousins have had breast reductions.
However, her mother is not part of the inner circle. Ariel has been emancipated from her mom, Crystal Workman, in 2012 after reports of abuse after 3 years of custody battle. Her older sister, Shanelle Gray, is her best friend and legal guardian.
Breast reduction is done 2 to 4 hours. Before she had her operation, Ariel talked with her doctor as to the size that would be ideal for her. The healing process was easy for her, back to her usual activities after 5 days. One of the first things she did was shop for clothes, and she cried the first time she tried on one that fit her. She is looking forward to dressing up for the Emmy's in September.
When asked in an interview in Glamour why she had the operation done, she says 'It's something that I did to better my life and better my health and I think that that can benefit a lot of young girls'.
