Ellen DeGeneres Fans Bash Christian Group Disliking Christmas Ad, Calls Group 'Idiots, Rude, Arrogant' [WATCH VIDEO]

A Christian group called One Million Mom's isn't going to stop fans from going to JCPenney or supporting Ellen DeGeneres because of opposition to an ad.

A JCPenney Christmas commercial featuring DeGeneres, who is openly gay, has angered the group and wrote a statement about how they felt. The statement (via Huffington Post) said:

"Since April, JC Penney's has not aired Ellen DeGeneres in one of their commercials until now. A new JCP ad features Ellen and three elves. JCP has made their choice to offend a huge majority of their customers again. Christians must now vote with their wallets. We have contacted JC Penney's several times in the past with our concerns, and they will not listen. They have decided to ignore our complaints so we will avoid them at all costs."

Back in February, One Million Moms boycotted for JCPenney to fire DeGeneres as a spokesperson. According to Newsterm.blogspot.com, DeGeneres addressed the issue on her talk show that same month saying, "For a group that calls themselves One Million Moms, they only have 40,000 members on their page. So, they are rounding to the nearest million, and I get that," she joked.

"But I really want to thank everyone who is supporting me, and if you don't know me very well, if you're just watching for the first time or maybe you are just getting to know me, I want to be clear," DeGeneres added. "Here are the values that I stand for: I stand for honesty, equality, kindness, compassion, treating people the way you want to be treated and helping those in need. To me, those are traditional values. That's what I stand for."

There were some who agreed with One Million Moms, but the commenters don't lie. DeGeneres fans bashed the Christian anti-gay group on numbers websites.

One commenter said, "DeGeneres is funny and seems like a very sweet person. Not sure how you could find her disgusting." Another said, "These militant groups are the biggest turn-off for me, whether it's a million moms, or dads, or Tea Party. At the very least, they are extremely rude and arrogant. At the worst, well, they are the worst element in our society today, IMO." One more said, "How petty! Ellen DeGeneres does more to help people in a week than the Million Moms have since they were founded. Find some other way to spend your time Moms, like paying attention to your children."

One DeGeneres fan said, "Ellen DeGeneres is too funny and warm and kind and generous and a huge advocate against bulling. At the end of every single show, she says; "be kind to one another". How many of these "million moms" are going to wake up some morning and find out their very own kid is GLBT?!?!?!? Ellen stands to compassion and empathy for ALL people no matter what their differences are. These "million moms" need to concentrate on Ellen the whole entire person and not her sexual self; which is only a small part of who she is."

Another commenter said, "I'm a Christian, and these people are idiots. Who allows these people to form groups under the category "Christian"? Shame on them, and I am ashamed to be associated with "Christians" who behave like this."

One commenter even accused One Million Moms of being a terrorist group: "40,000 members does not make 1 million moms! Just another Christian terrorist organization trying to shove their beliefs on every one else. Good for JC Penny's and good for Ellen DeGeneres for standing up to bigotry!"
