President Barack Obama To Guest On 'Running Wild with Bear Grylls' [PHOTOS]

Bear Grylls (AKA Edward Michael Grylls) has just snatched the biggest name for his show yet - President Barack Obama.

Yes, this is not a drill: President Obama will be appearing on an episode of "Running Wild with Bear Grylls," as announced by NBC on Monday.

President Barack Obama will be visiting Alaska for three days, which begins on Monday. The Commander-in-Chief will be traveling north of the country "to raise awareness of the effects global warming has had on the U.S.'s largest state," as per Mashable.

During his visit, he'll also be joining Bear Grylls to film the episode for "Running Wild with Bear Grylls." The NBC press release states:

"President Obama will meet with Grylls while visiting Alaska to observe the effects of climate change on the area. The two will then come together in the Alaskan Wilderness. [...] President Obama will become the first U.S. president to receive a crash course in survival techniques from Bear Grylls."

Meanwhile, White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest told reporters on board Air Force One on Monday: "I will not deny your suspicion that there may have been some suggestions put forward by the Beat Grylls team that were not approved by the Secret Service."

The 41-year-old man known for his survival skills has long recruited several celebrities to teach them on how to survive nature's most difficult situations.

Some celebs Bear Grylls has recruited in the past include Channing Tatum, Kate Winslet, Ed Helms, Michael B. Jordan, Kate Hudson, James Marsden, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Zac Efron, and even Ben Stiller.

One question remains though, will the President of the United States have to drink or eat a urine stew, just like what Michelle Rodriguez did?

To find out, you'll have to wait until the episode airs on NBC later this year. In the meantime, take a look at some funny Photoshopped photos of President Obama in the wilderness with Bear Grylls below.
