Cranberries Singer Will Have Medical Care While Waiting for the Air Rage Trial

Dolores O'Riordan is an Irish singer, songwriter, who led the rock band, The Cranberries, to a worldwide success for thirteen years.

On November 10 last year, as the lead singer of the Cranberries was flying in from New York, Dolores O'Riordan was accused of assaulting three people in an air rage incident and got arrested at Shannon Airport in Ireland.

The incident that Dolores O'Riordan got into started in the business section on Aer Lingus flight EI 110 from JFK Airport, when the flight of the singer was about to land.

The court has granted her appeal for an adjournment for her to undergo medical treatment.

Her solicitor, Bill O'Donnell, asked for the case at Ennis District Court in Co Clare to be adjourned for three months,so she can receive the necessary medical attention she needs for her condition.

Bill O'Donnel said, "My client is presently receiving ongoing medical treatment and presently she's receiving residential treatment, hence her absence from court."

Fortunately, Judge Patrick Durcan agreed to the adjournment, the judge said, "If the person is having treatment, then I think we should facilitate that."

The hearing for the 'Zombie' singer's case will resume on December 16 at Ennis District Court, for a plea to be entered or a date to be set for the next hearing.

If Dolores O'Riordan will be found guilty of assault in the district court, she will face a fine of up to €1,850 or a maximum of six months in jail.

The lead singer of the Cranberries, who came from Friarstown, Kilmallock, Co Limerick is famous for her distinctive singing voice.
