Pizza Hut, the world's largest pizza company, has announced that it is going to sponsor College GameDay, and it begins the celebration by  giving out  10,000 free pizzas to sports fans for the first week of the event.

The move is Pizza Hut's latest sports marketing campaign, as it's long been known to support sports fans celebrate their passion. The move is called "ESPN College GameDay Built By Home Depot," and while it might seem like a mouthful, the 10,000 free large pizzas the pizza chain will be providing fans is more than a mouthful.

ESPN College GameDay has long been recognized as the preeminent college football pre-game program in the U.S., and Pizza Hut is on a mission to make the event more exciting for sports fans.

"We recognize that our fans are also huge college football fans, and we feel that there is no better sports property to reach these consumers than College GameDay, according to vice president of Pizza Hut's marketing, Jared Drinkwater. "From the television audience, to the volume of fans reached each week on the road, this program engages fans in ways most programs do not. We cannot wait to bring college football fans an exciting experience each week throughout the season."
