Is it True? Reports Swirl About Hayden Panettiere and Wladimir Klitschko Engagement

Could it be summer wedding bells for the cheerleader and the boxer?

Television star Hayden Panettiere, 23, and Ukranian boxer Wladimir Klitschko, 37, are reportedly engaged, according to US Weekly. US Weekly broke the news on its website Wednesday morning. Panetierre is a TV star known for her roles on the shows Nashville and Heroes, in which she played a cheerleader. Klitschko is a professional heavyweight boxer who has won multiple championships over the years.

The news, if true, is part of a fast-and-furious reconciliation for the couple, who were still broken up as of just a few weeks ago. The couple began dating in 2009 then broke up in May 2011. But time apart apparently only convinced them that they needed to get back together. The pair reunited in January, US Weekly reported. The Daily Mail reported that they were spotted kissing Sunday at the Miami Heat game in South Florida.

Now, they might be planning a wedding.

Don't expect to get any great pictures of Panettiere wearing her engagement ring. A friend of the couple told US Weekly, "She isn't wearing her ring publicly yet." But do expect a quick nuptial if what one source said is true. A source told The Hollywood Gossip that the couple is eager to make their union official this year and "looks like a summer wedding!"

As with all celebrity couplings, the big question is will it last? Who knows. If true, this will be the first marriage for both Panettiere and Klitschko. One thing is true -- Panettiere has said she prefers athletes in the past. She told US Weekly, about dating athletes, in 2011: "They're in similar circles, where they understand the schedule, the work ethic, the social aspect," she explained, "but they're not exactly in your industry, so it works out well."

You can expect to read that quote a lot this week in stories about the couple.
