New Cafe in Japan Has Bikini Clad Waitresses Posed as Your Wife

Japan has been known to invent a lot of weird and unique stuff.  Either for theatrical or convenience purposes, some will definitely strike you as only Japan can do.  From silly game shows to "umbrella ties", Japan has once more proved its "out of the box" thinking by opening a cafe where waitresses are dressed in bikini pretending to be customer's wife.

In a news posted in Foodbeast, a new cafe in the Higashi Ikebukuro neighbourhood of Tokyo offers a very strange and unusual service to lonely men and women.  Waitresses clad in bikini pretend to be the wife of these lonely men.  The cafe is called Ore no Yome which in English translates to "My Wife".

Customers can actually call ahead of time to give the cafe their name and their time of arrival.  When customers finally arrive, their waitresses turned into wives will greet them wearing a swimsuit under a kitchen apron and will cook them a meal.  Appropriately, one of their advertisements for the cafe reads as:

"As soon as you know what time you'll be home, let me know dear! I'll get your dinner ready."

Thinking about the lonely ladies who share the same sentiment with their male customers, the cafe has gamely offered shirtless male waiters for female customers as well.  These waiters wear single strapped aprons and are called accordingly as "darling husbands".

It also appears that customers can actually have the option to choose their own wives or husbands beforehand.  The cafe's website has a list of their waiters and waitresses that customer can browse through.  Information such as their birthdays, measurements, favourite foods or even as strange as their preference for bed to sleep on are posted for customers to peruse.

The cafe's concept revolves around the idea that you can still have a home cooked meal with your beautiful wife or husband, after a long tiring day at the office even if you are still single.
