China Helps In L.A. And Las Vegas Railway Construction

A railway connecting to Los Angeles and Las Vegas, already sounds appealing to many, it makes the transit from one place to the other easier, and essentially it is another form of transportation for consumers to pick from. But what's more amazing is the trains to be used for the transit are super-fast trains that will merely take you from point A to point B in under 80 minutes. This partnership is between China Railway International USA and XpressWest.

The scheduled start of construction for railway is on 2016, mere months away. This $100 million dollar investment from XpressWest is one of the first planned high speed trains in the southwest United States. The train travels in a speed of 150 miles per hour and here's the catch, stopovers in Victorville, Nevada and Palmdale, California is happening as well.

In XpressWest website, they stated, "With the environmental review process complete, all required federal right-of-way approvals in place, and having received the necessary licensing and approvals to construct and operate, XpressWest will provide a foundation for high speed rail infrastructure in the Southwest Corridor." Xpress not has also plans to expand the sin city experience by having exclusive entertainment club cars complete with food, Wi-Fi and drink on parts of the train. They will also offer hotel check-in and restaurant reservation services.

China Railway Internation USA is the US based branch of mega high-speed rail consortium in China, while ExpressWest is led by Marnell Companies, which aims to build high-speed rail line in the Southwest Rail Network. This collaboration between the two will be substantial for both the U.S. and China. "This is the first high-speed railway project where China and the U.S. will have systematic cooperation," Yang Zhongmin, a deputy chief engineer with China Railway Group, said after a news conference in Beijing.
