Lose Weight With These Top Fruits and Vegetables

A recent  study shows which fruit and vegetables fruit are the best to eat in order to lose weight. 

The body needs at least 5 portions of vegetables and fruits a day but now it's suggested that only the vital ones should be chosen to be added in a weight -loss diet. The study shows that some vegetables consumed are actually more fattening than others, and the top of the list is  sweet corn.

Harvard University Researchers said people should think carefully about their vegetable consumption. Potatoes ranked number 3. Instead of fasting, it is recommended to have transitionto eating whole meal bread and brown rice.

The other end of the spectrum are prunes, blueberries and cauliflower which is not bad news.

130, 000 diet of Americans were considered and were required to answer the questions every 24 hours and every four years they weigh regularly. Their lifestyle iwas also taken into account like like  how often they excercise and their smoking levels.

The study showed that eating vegetables and fruits help a lot in losing weight as long as the fruits consumed are best chosen for the diet. 

For every extra portion of fruit eaten daily,  a decrease od half of a pound of fat turns out for over four years.

Researcher Monica Bertoia wrote in PLOS Medicine journal "Although the magnitude of weight change associated with each increased daily serving was modest, combining an increase of one to two servings of vegetables and one to two servings of fruits daily would be associated with substantial weight change," 

Blueberry is in the number 1 position, a portion of it to be eaten in one day loses one and a half pound for every 4 years. Second is cauliflower, apple and pears which all help lose almost a pound in weight .Strawberries and grapes are also good although the result is not really clear but it can help a lot and is a good and healthy substitute for dessert. It is also high in polyphenols which helps process osugar and helps in body's metabolism.

Peaches, onion and cabbage were higher in the end of the rank. Celery is not also good though this has been touted as a food which is great for the people who want to lose weight. It only reduces 0.34 pounds over 4 years.
