Vladimir Putin the Russian president apologized to Elton John for the prank call made by Russian pranksters and offered to meet.
The Russian president called Elton John to apologize for what happened that he was a recipient of a prank by the Russian TV presenters Alexei Stolyarov and Vladimir Krasnov. The Russian leader wants to find time to talk with the famous star who requested before for a meeting with the president to talk about gay rights in the Russia.
''Putin called and said: 'I know you were called by pranksters. Don't get offended by those guys, they are harmless, though this certainly does not justify their actions."
''And Putin said he knew what a popular artist Elton John is, and if their schedules allow it, he is ready to meet and discuss any questions that interest him.'' Dmitry Peskov a Russian president spokes person said.
During the prank call Elton John agreed to attend a gay pride parade in Moscow and talked about the concerns such as the violence in Russia regarding the members of (LGBT) Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Community.
Elton also asked the President to talk and meet face to face for, whose country has long withered for its treatment of homosexual people.
As what musician said, ''I would welcome [dialogue] because things get done better when you see somebody and you meet them. If both our offices can find a convenient date where we can convene and have a really wonderful discussion ... that would be a miracle. It would be fantastic, and it would be a dream come true.''
Then after Elton John opened his instagram, he posted the picture of Russian President and wrote ''Thank-you to President Vladimir Putin for reaching out and speaking via telephone with me today. I look to forward to meeting with you face-to-face to discuss LGBT equality in Russia. @president_vladimir_putin @ejaf #lgbt #lgbtrights #ShareTheLove (sic).''
The persons who pranked Elton John recorded their conversation and aired on state TV before they uploaded the conversation in youtube.
After the musician said that he would love to discuss the issue face to face with Russian president the pranksters couldn't resist calling Elton John.
Pranksters told ABS news ''We just couldn't pass up this opportunity to see what Elton John would say if he thought he was really speaking to Putin.''
