Japan 2015: Kit Kats Stuffed in Croissants Can Come in Matcha Green Tea Flavor [PHOTOS]

Everyone knows about Japan's creativity when it comes to food - let's admit it, practically everyone stateside is pretty much jealous of their ingenious concoctions.

In fact, Japan is one of the leading countries to offer "the world's greatest variety of Kit Kat flavors and variations," as reported by Rocket News 24.

Pronto is a unique establishment in Japan - while known for its coffee and light fare food, the chain also serves pastas and pizzas. Not only that, but at night, it turns into a bar that serves free-flowing alcohol.

If that's not enough to make you book a trip to Japan already, well, they're the people behind those Kit Kat stuffed croissants - Pronto proves that they're all about offering a diverse range of fare, especially with their newest menu addition.

Priced at 170 yen (or US $1.40), the Kit Kat Croissants come in two different versions: the "Kit Kat Croissant for Café" and the "Matcha Kit Kat Croissant" which could both be served warm or cold.

As you'd expect from its names, "Kit Kat Croissant for Café" comprises of two milk chocolate Kit Kats buried in the center of a croissant. Not only that, the reason behind the name is thanks to its perfect pairing: the bitterness of a coffee.

It actually seems much better to eat this variation all warm, since the chocolate better melts into the croissant, resulting in layers of chocolate sweetness in between the buttery flavor of the croissant.

As for one of the most beloved Kit Kat flavors, Pronto also has a croissant embedded with the matcha green tea-flavored Kit Kat.

Although it might sound weird, the French bread paired with the candy bar and Japanese tea flavor actually work really well together. It's actually perfect for those who prefer a less sweet flavor as compared to the milk chocolate variation.
