Mackenzie Rosman, who is best known as the Ruthie Camden, on the WB's long-running series "7th Heaven," strips down to her underwear for a sexy Maxim spread.
The 23-year-old posed for the Sept. issue back in March. (See photos)
"I caved... Just wrapped a #Maxim photoshoot :)" she tweeted.
According to the Huffington Post, when Maxim asked if she thinks people will "be surprised" to see her in lingerie, Rosman didn't seem worried about what others might think.
"They might be," she said. "But you know what? it's who I am."
In 2008, the actress appeared in some racy photos of her posing in her underwear and kissing a girl.
According to People, Rosman may just be following in the footsteps of her TV sister Jessica Biel, who shot topless for Gear Magazine back in 2000, when the actress was only 17. It was an attempt to get out of her contract for the show, which Biel said she later regretted doing.
"I was probably nine at the time, but I remember that. It was a big deal," Rosman said about Biel's photo shoot. "The magazine was banned on set, I think by orders of Aaron Spelling. I sneaked a peek at it, though. It was racy gossip amongst the women of 7th Heaven!"
Rosman can be seen in the SyFy movie "Ghost Shark."
Stripping down for the pages of Maxim magazine seems like a rite of passage for former child stars. Stars like Alyssa Milano, Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Love Hewitt and Hilary Duff all posed nearly topless for the racy magazine.
