Nicholas Brendon Arrested: 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' Actor Allegedly Choked His Girlfriend [PHOTOS]

Nicholas Brendon was arrested on Wednesday after allegedly getting into a domestic dispute with his girlfriend at a hotel in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. This was his fourth arrest this year.

Nicholas, who has struggled to stay sober in recent months, allegedly choked his girlfriend. The 44-year-old actor has been involved in multiple incidents with police in Saratoga Springs, New York over the last several days, but his latest arrest has resulted in a felony charge.

"Last night around 11:30 p.m., we got called to a nice family-owned hotel in town for a reported domestic disturbance," Bob Jillson, Investigations Lieutenant at Saratoga Springs Police Department, tells PEOPLE.

"We got to the room and we found a 33-year-old female there by herself, and she reported that she had been in a domestic incident with Nick, and he had subsequently left before we got there. She did not have any physical injuries that we were aware of."

After allegedly choking his girlfriend, stealing her car keys, hurling her cell phone into the road, and throwing a chair against a wall, Nicholas Brendon was reportedly arrested and “charged with robbery in the third degree, a felony; two counts of criminal mischief and one count of obstruction of breathing,” police told Radar Online.

Police called to the scene found Brendon a few blocks away from the hotel, and the actor was taken into custody without resistance.

The former 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' actor has been arrested three separate times this year, most recently in May for public intoxication. He was also arrested in February and March, both times for trashing hotel rooms while under the influence.

Nicholas Brendon entered rehab in June. Unfortunately, he recently admitted he fell off the wagon and has been struggling to stay sober. He also walked off the Dr. Phil show while talking about his ongoing issues. Apparently, he didn’t like the questions Dr. Phil was asking him.

Nicholas Brendon was arraigned in Saratoga Springs City Court on October 1 and “held in lieu of $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond.” He’s due back in court October 6.
