Talk show host Wendy Williams has never been one to hold back from saying what she really thinks, especially when it comes to celebrities. Last summer, she came under fire for her comments about Ariana Grande's body, and now she's throwing some low-key shade at another pop star.
Never one to bite her tongue, Williams hailed Taylor Swift the 'Queen of Mean' during Monday's episode of The Wendy Williams Show.
She broached the topic of the 25-year-old singer while announcing the fact that she currently holds the title of most followers on Instagram, ahead of notable social media mavens Kim Kardashian and Beyonce.
Even though Taylor has earned a reputation as one of the nicest celebs ever for all the amazing things she does for her fans and friends, there's at least one person who's not convinced. Wendy questioned whether the singer really is as nice as she appears to be.
"People like Taylor and I think that the reason why also is a hidden secret of mean," she said during a round of "Hot Topics." "I think that she is probably meaner than Beyonce and Kim put together. In my mind, Taylor Swift is the Queen of the Mean. She's sneaky and smart about doing it which makes her smarter than the other two."
Wendy went on to explain that she believes that Taylor has her girl squad hypnotized to think she's the bee's knees and that she cooks and bakes to pretend she's a regular good girl, implying it's all an act. Still, she does at least seem to be giving Taylor credit for being savvy.
"Here's the thing, she's trying to trick us into thinking she's a good woman because she bakes and cooks and it's actually working right now on Instagram," the 51-year-old host acknowledged. "For Kim and Beyoncé, if you weren't so obvious about your thing and a little more covert, you two will be back on top of Instagram, but for right now, it's all about Taylor Swift."
Clearly, Williams is far from worried about her words coming back to bite her.
