Of course, that means the beverage doesn't have any real pumpkins - but surely that won't stop anyone from ordering the sweet treat.

Burger King recently faced some backlash on their Halloween Whopper, which boasts of a black bun to go with the month's recurring theme.

After many customers tried the Burger King Halloween burger, reports surfaced that the black bun caused their poops to turn green - "a bright comical green poop."

Apparently, the food coloring - most probably green food coloring - used for the black bun was what made customer's stools change into an unusual color.

The black-bunned burgers originated from Japan, where they used bamboo charcoal and squid ink for coloring. Unfortunately, the U.S. version went for another route, with the company claiming that they used A1 steak sauce.

But if they did just use the steak sauce, that shouldn't turn your poop green.

Burger King has yet to comment on the actual ingredients used to achieve the black color on the buns. Odds are, they're not going to admit to using food coloring though.
