Australian diners are in for a treat as chef Rene Redzepi will soon bring his acclaimed restaurant Noma to their shores.
The Danish institution has topped San Pellegrino's Best Restaurant four times, including a hat-trick from 2010-2012. The restaurant and its chef are the flag bearers of modern Nordic cuisine while its menu places a special focus on foraged ingredients and seasonal delicacies.
From January 26 to April 2, the Copenhagen location will close as Redzepi and his team set up shop in Australia for the summer months.
Tickets to the limited time pop-up will cost $485 per person plus a 1.65% credit card fee. They will be sold on the restaurant's official website starting at 10am Sydney time on Friday, October 30. Bookings can be made for tables of two, four, six and eight.
The restaurant can accommodate 56 seats and will be open for lunch and dinner from Tuesday to Saturday.
Redzepi has already begun teasing fans about his Australian stint, filling his instagram page with pictures of some of the local ingredients that will be served come the new year.

Despite its deceptive name: a Mud clam - it's the singular best mouthful I've had in Australia. AMAZING! Kids in Arnhem Land found these for us, buried under the mud near the mangrove jungle. Watch out for the crocodiles. Then somebody lit a fire of old eucalyptus trees, and the clams were casually thrown on the roaring bonfire for a brief minute: Briney, smokey and perfect #nomaaustralia A photo posted by Rene Redzepi (@reneredzepinoma) on Oct 12, 2015 at 7:48am PDT
Earlier this year, Redzepi announced plans to shut down Noma completely and reboot the restaurant at a new Copenhagen location some time in 2017. Foodies looking to try his creations shouldn't miss out on this unique opportunity.
