Kisses Deluxe: Hershey's Introduces Biggest Kisses Product in 25 Years

The Hershey Company is going bigger than ever for the Kisses brand this holiday season.

According to USA Today, the Pennsylvania-based chocolate company announced on Tuesday that they'll be introducing a new product in the United States market: the Hershey's Kisses Deluxe.

Dubbed as the "largest innovation in 25 years," the Huffington Post describes the gold-wrapped treat as:

"At twice the size of a standard Hershey's Kiss, the Deluxe has a creamy chocolate ganache center that surrounds a whole roasted hazelnut, all encased in a shell of milk chocolate that's scattered with lightly crunchy crisps."

Talking to USA Today about the company's innovation through the years, Hershey's Kisses senior associate manager Adam Borden explains:

"It took 55 years just to change the color of the foil. [...] Then it took another 38 years to put something inside the milk chocolate. We're getting better, but it does take us a little while to tinker with something that is iconic as a brand Milton Hershey founded himself."

The newest product in the Kisses line was first introduced in China back in 2013, when the chocolate company was searching for a less sweet and creamier chocolate to appeal to the Chinese market's taste.

The product was an instant hit, contributing to $100 million in sales of Hershey Kisses in China in 2014.

The "biggest innovation of the iconic Kisses brand since they introduced Hershey Kisses with almonds" comes in a variety of options: there's a 3-piece bag worth $1, and there's also a "75-piece jewelry box for $32, available only online."

The Hershey's Kisses Deluxe is slated to hit the United States shelves (and Amazon!) on November 5. It will be available until Valentine's Day and will make a return during the 2016 holiday season.
