Nina Dobrev and Austin Stowell finally went public with their girlfriend-boyfriend status Tuesday on Twitter after realizing they weren't even following each other.
The couple had no idea they weren't connected on social media until October 20, Tuesday, nearly four months after they first started dating.
Stowell went to check up on Dobrev's feed when he realized he had never followed her in the first place!
Posting a screenshot of the awkward realization, he wrote, "That awkward moment when you realize you don't follow your girlfriend on Twitter #socialmediaproblems @ninadobrev."
Dobrev didn't take offense to it because it turns out Stowell wasn't the only one slacking in the social media world. The 26-year-old actress wasn't following her beau either! Then, Nina responded with this adorable tweet.
She took to Twitter to write, "That awkward moment when u realize ur not following him either&gotta do it realfast b4 he realizes." LOL!
Luckily, the two made some reciprocal moves and fixed the dilemma. They're both following each other on Twitter now, which means fans can actually consider them a serious couple.
The 30-year-old actor tweeted a screenshot of himself successfully following his love: "I guess it's official @ninadobrev."

Nina and Austin just sbegan dating in June, when they were spotted getting cozy at a comedy show in Hollywood, but that was the first time they flaunted their relationship on a red carpet.
