Get Hyped For Fallout 4 with SPECIAL Video Series

Fallout 4 is just around the corner. Bethesda's post-apocalyptic epic promises to be one of the year's best; boasting the deep role playing elements, sprawling world, and limitless player freedom that has become the series' trademark.

To get fans excited for the release, the developer has slowly rolling out its SPECIAL video series. The clips are done in the unique retro-future style the series is famous for.

The acronym covers the seven basic attributes that compose the Fallout playable character:  Strength, Perception, Endurance, Charisma, Intelligence, Agility, Luck.  Adding or subtracting stat points from your character will drastically alter his/her playstyle and abilities. The game has always preached experimentation and urged players to develop characters however they see fit.

That diversity seems to be intact in this latest installment if the videos are any indication. Let's go for a quick rundown of each to see what they do.

Strength

S stands for strength. This attribute governs how much inventory weight you can carry. Characters with high strength will also hit harder with melee based attacks and weapons.

Perception

The perception stat determines your accuracy and awareness out in the wasteland. Players who invest in this stat are also more likely to succeed in stealth based activities like sneaking and pickpocketing

Endurance

More endurance lets you run farther and hold your breath underwater longer. Spending in this category also makes you more resistant to radiation and other harmful wasteland effects.

Charisma

Charismatic players can sweet talk vendors into lowering their prices. This also opens up additional dialogue trees and options.

Intelligence

Since Fallout is a game steeped in scientific references, Intelligence often plays a huge part. This attribute impacts crafting, medicine, and other key skill trees.

Agility

As the name suggests, More Agility allows for better dodging, faster targeting, and a host of other things.

Luck

Luck has always been a wildcard stat that affects things like critical hits and loot drops.
