Geri Horner, the former Spice Girl, looked so at ease as she hosted an interview with Malala Yousafzai with Alex Jones on Friday night's episode of BBC's The One Show.
Although she showed confidence in her new role as host on the BBC's The One Show, Twitter users branded Horner as 'untalented' and 'patronising' during her interview with Malala.
Geri was emotional upon her talk with Pakistani female education activist, who fortunately endured cruel Taliban attack in 2012.
Now, Malala and her family moved to Britain and still promotes her current documentary film that accounts her movement for women's education in the Swat Valley that nearly put her into grave danger.
Malala is well-known as a prestigious guest fpr the special Girl Power-themed episode of The One Show.
The three women apparently got along seemingly, but a lot of viewers reacted to Geri's turn as interviewer.
One social media account wrote: 'Fabulous to hear Malala on The One Show tonight. Is it just me, or was #gerihalliwell deeply patronising as an interviewer?'"
"Is anyone else watching the car crash that is Geri Halliwell. Gah! Oh my god I'm biting my fist at the cringe! Poor Malala. #theoneshow", another viewer added.
One who likes the interview to former TOWIE star Joey essex wrote 'Having Ginger spice interview Malala Yousafzai is like having Joey Essex interview Steven Hawking [sic]. Show some respect please #TheOneShow
Following the show, Geri herself shared to the microblogging site a picture where she posed beside co-host Alex, Malala and fellow guest Charlotte Church.
Afterwards, the Watford-born star made an unlucky mistake in her subtitle, as she misspelled Malala's name, writing: 'An evening of girl power. Alex, Charlotte, Mallala [sic] and me.'
Viewers bashed Geri's 'patronising' view and others focused on her lacking of talent. "That poor girl Malala, what she went through and the torture will never be as bad as Geri Halliwell interviewing her", shared by another.
