Kristen Taekman Leaving Real Housewives of New York City, Find Out Why

In an exclusive interview with E! News on Monday, October 26,  Kristen Taekman, model and mom, confirmed that she is leaving The Real Housewives of New York City.

In a statement she made to E! news, she said "My experience during my time on RHONY was fantastic and I made some great new friends.''

"At this time in my life, I have decided to concentrate on my family and my new business ventures Pop Of Color nail polish and Last Night's Look, my fashion blog. I will remain a Housewife and part of an amazing franchise forever and that is what is important." She further explained.

Joining the show in season six, Kristen also appeared in the most recent season, season seven, alongside Ramona Singer, Sonja Morgan, Heather Thomson, Carole Radziwill, Luann de Lesseps, Bethenny Frankel and Dorinda Medley.

It was only Heather who announced with Kristen that she would not be returning to the Bravo series for another season. The rating of the rest of the cast remains up in the air with production on season eight gearing up.

In August, it was announced that her husband, Josh Taekman, was on infidelity website Ashley Madison, after hackers released millions of subscriber information in a massive leak.

In a statement with US Weekly, Josh apologized and admitted. "I signed up for the site foolishly and ignorantly with a group of friends and I deeply apologize for any embarrassment or pain I have brought to my wife and family. We both look forward to moving past this and getting on with our lives."

Discovered by John Casablanca’s at age 14, Kristen began her modeling career with his agency then. She first went to work in New York before moving to Paris for several years, then went to Italy and Australia.

She has appeared in Australian Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, and Glamour, as well as national campaigns for beauty brands such as L’Oréal and Clairol. Famed photographers like Antoine Verglas and Ben Watts photographed the blonde beauty.
