Perrie Edwards Slams Ex-Boyfriend Zayn Malik, Says 'He Was Just A Be***nd'

She's definitely one strong girl. Perrie Edwards, who came from a pretty bad breakup with former 1D member Zayn Malik earlier this year, appears to have finally moved on after reportedly throwing a shade to her former man.

During the band's guest appearance at UTV's music show Total Access, the 22-year old singer, who was in talks with her band mates about their latest breakup track 'Hair', sounded like she was throwing some bad shots against Malik.

While one of them was trying to describe the new track, Edwards later followed it with her own statement which appeared to be something about her own breakup experience.

"You know when you break up with someone and they are that word, so it's alright to say it in a song." she said. "He was just a be**end and I knew it."

While it seems like Edwards still has little grudges for her ex after Malik dumped their four-year relationship, some sources insist that the blonde beauty is 'still in love with Zayn'.

The now-solo artist on the other hand, who made his exit from One Direction earlier this year, is reportedly trying to reach out to Edwards through text messages, as confirmed by one source.

"Zayn has started messaging Perrie again, saying he misses and still loves her." the source said.

The source added, "Although Perrie is trying to be strong and move on, it's obvious to everyone around her, she's still in love with Zayn. Seeing him with other women is killing her."

The ex-couple started dating back in December 2011, got engaged in August 2013 and planned to get married at Disneyland Paris before Malik decided to call-off their engagement earlier in August this year.

Meanwhile, Perrie Edwards is seemingly enjoying her life without Malik as she said during her recent interview that she's having an "absolute blast".

"We have a bit of banter with guys in nightclubs. I love it. I love going out. I'm feeling brilliant and I'm in a good place and I've got new hair." she added. "I'd love to do a double date at Disneyland. That would be brilliant."
