'Captain America: Civil War' News: Trailer to Play Alongside ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’? [RUMORS]

"Captain America: Civil War" is nearing its theater release. Only seven months remain and many are already expecting its first trailer to be released. Because of this, rumors have circulated, and one of the most recent and popular is that the "Civil War" trailer will coincide with the showing of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens."

Collider reported the rumor, and the website's sources have reportedly proven reliable even in the past.

Earlier this week, Russian social media website VK announced that the new trailer for "Captain America: Civil War" will be shown as the "Spectre," the new James Bond film hits theaters.

However, Disney is the owner of both Marvel Studios and Lucasfilm, making it more probable that the "Captain America: Civil War" trailer will be shown ahead of the "Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens" showing. Since "The Force Awakens" is Disney's biggest film in 2015 and "Civil War" its biggest in 2016, it makes more sense, according to The Inquisitr.

Colllider, the source of the rumor, even provides some evidence why it's very possible.

Directors Joe and Anthony Russo of "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" and "Captain America: Civil War" have unverified Twitter accounts. Their Twitter feeds are made up of extreme close-up shots of random things, from text, to props, to costume textures. While these posts may not look much, they could still very well be a  first look at Spider-Man's new costume, or a plot point when examined wisely.

In this tweet a few days ago from the unverified accounts, Collider believes that the post indicates the "Civil War" trailer may coincide with the release of "The Force Awakens. When observed carefully, the right portion of the tweet has an American flag and on the left is an image from a famous 1977 "Star Wars" poster, according to Slash Film.

If this Collider rumor got it right that the "Civil War" trailer will air with "The Force Awakens," then the tweet also had an idea about it in advance.

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" is set for release December 18, 2015, while "Captain America: Civil War" will show in theaters May 6, 2016.
