In the interview, the actor's wife said that the love that Robin made her feel was the best thing ever and that it was the love that she had always dreamed of. She even said that she considers herself a very lucky woman for she is married to the funniest man on earth. She also shared the heart-breaking moment she had when she found out that Robin hanged himself with a belt, her only reaction was to scream the words "What happened?" and "What did you do?"

When the world knew that the actor passed away, his wife, Susan, issued a statement saying that she had lost her husband and her best friend and the world lost one of its greatest and lovable actors. She added that their family wanted privacy and wanted the media to stay out of them while they're experiencing major loss and grief.
