In this technologically advanced world, more and more people are embracing emojis as part of everyday language. This being the case, it was only a matter of time before somebody came out with a dedicated emoji keyboard.
EmojiWorks, an Austin-based company, has come out with a physical keyboard that makes sending emoji easier than ever. Sure, there are other emoji keyboards out there, but the EmojiWorks one is the first real-life keyboard that is not just a concept or an add-on, The Next Web reported.
The keyboard, which is very much like a standard keyboard, can contain as many as three emojis per key. There is an "emoji" button at the bottom part of the keyboard and pressing this activates the function. The keyboard has many of the most popular emojis being used today like poop, taco, thumbs up, heart, and lots of faces, Mac Rumors noted.
According to the company, their keyboard can speed up emoji typing by up to 10 times. Why anyone needs to type in that many emojis is anyone's guess but this keyboard is sure to be an emoji fanatic's best friend.
The company has three keyboards lined up for consumers. There is the basic Emoji Keyboard which has 47 emoji, the Keyboard Plus with 94 emoji, and finally, the Keyboard Pro with 120 emoji. They will retail for $79.95, $89.95, and $99.95 respectively. The Plus and Pro versions also have the additional skin tone modifying buttons, according to The Verge.
The keyboard is compatible with all Mac, iOS, and Windows devices. It connects to these devices via Bluetooth connection. Please note that a pair of AAA batteries is needed to power the keyboard. Lastly, you will need to install EmojiWorks software to transform keystrokes into emoji.
