Sean Bean Says The Mordor Memes And Numerous Death Scenes Will Be His "Unintended Legacy"

Sean Bean has died in so many films that his appearance in a certain movie was almost a guaranteed spoiler: His character will be dead before the film ends or in the climax. In addition to that, Sean Bean's characters have met their demise in the most creative ways, from being strung up and left for dead in 'Henry VIII' to unexpected beheading in 'Game of Thrones' to being shot full of Uruk-hai arrows in 'The Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring.'

The Sean Bean Death is currently more than just an inside joke for movie fans. The actor himself has admitted to Radio Times that he is aware of his numerous death scenes.

"I have died quite a few times to be fair," Bean said, adding that he has watched the Youtube death reel with a few surprises.

"I've seen that reel of clips - it sounds a bit macabre, but I watched that back, and I'd forgotten some of the scenes I'd died in," he admitted.

Needless to say, the man has died so many times in his films that he hasn't kept count of just how many death scenes he has. However, Sean Bean remains positive, stating that his characters will help make him memorable.

"For some reason, the parts I play, like Boromir or Ned Stark, have a life online long afterwards. I keep seeing, what do you call them - memes? 'One does not simply ask for a drink' instead of 'One does not simply walk into Mordor' - that sort of thing," he said. "They'll probably be my unintended legacy."

The 'One Does Not Simply Walk Into Mordor' meme has made use of Boromir's 'Fellowship of the Ring' catchphrase to imply the difficulty in doing a task, although it has been used in other ways. At one point, a post shows Boromir offering an idea to use a catapult to hurl the One Ring into Mordor, with hilarious results.
