Cara D. On 'Call of Duty' Commercial and How Activision Got Her to Star in It

Ever since the beginning, "Call of Duty" used celebrities that no one would actually expect to star in their trailers and commercials. This year, it's no other than "Margo" from Paper towns, Ms. Cara Delevingne.

The campaign began impassioned with an ad for "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3" trailer with Sam Worthington as a pro-gamer together with his noob team mates Jonah Hill and Dwight Howard in it. Then they got Guy Ritchie as a director to direct another trailer which is starred by "Iron Man" Robert Downey Jr. and another trailer featuring Megan Foxx. Don't even ignore the fact that Chris Evans starred in a trailer they released earlier this year called the Chinese "Call of Duty: Online".

Todd Harvey, the Senior Vice President of Consumer Marketing for Activision, stated to MTV via email that their creative positioning for "Call of Duty" is that there is a soldier in each and everyone.

Everybody would usually think that celebrities are only there because of the paycheck. Little did they know that most celebrities enjoy the series and just wants to be a part of it too, some of them are even the ones who reach out to Activision hoping that they may land a part in the trailers.

Now, Activision is getting Cara D. to star in one of their trailers "Seize the Glory", and according to Todd Harvey had said, Cara D. used to go to their events just to play the game and that they have always thought of working with her only that they're finding the right time and opportunity. And now that she's working with Activision, they can tell that she's perfect for "Seize the Glory", it's exciting and thrilling that working with her finally happened, Harvey added.

Things were pretty easy when they knew that Cara have been playing their games for years now.
