Katy Perry First Spot on Forbes’ 2015 Worlds Highest Paid Woman Of The Year in Music.

According to Forbes list of 2015 world's highest paid women in music, Katy Perry got the first spot as highest paid woman of the year in the music industry.

The singer and songwriter has earned about $135 million for this year, the part of the said earnings came from Katy's extremely successful Prismatic World Tour. The series of the concert enabled the 31-year-old singer to travel to various parts of the world wherein she grossed greater than $2 million in every city.

The actresses also has well-paid endorsement deals with Claire's Accessories, Covergirl and Coty apart from the concert earnings.

The 135$ million earning of Perry pushed her on top over Taylor Swift. Swift landed number two in the list after her world concert tour promoting her 1989 album whom she released in 2014, that earned $80 million and the album itself was sold for over 3.6 million copies until today. 

On Wednesday, Perry impressed red carpet spectators during the event Change Begins Within Benefit Gala held in New York City.

 Based on a People Magazine report, Perry wore a black shape fitted Yousef Al-Jasmi jumpsuit, with a plunging neckline and cape-like silk sleeves. During her stage performance the lady already wore a pale pink gown by Alexis Mabille. The social event was in benefit concert for David Lynch Foundation.

 The top 5 of Forbes' 2015 world's highest paid women, consist of Fleetwood Mac's Stevie Nicks and Christine McVie with $59.5 million, Lady Gaga with $59 million and Beyonce at $54.4 million. Britney Spears, Mariah Carey and Rihanna also earned a spot in Forbes' top 10 list, with earnings of $31 million, $27 million and $26 million, in that order. American Idol critic Jennifer Lopez and Country Music Awards' Female Vocalist of the Year Miranda Lambert also joined Forbes' list, with each earning $28.5 million.

Throughout Katy's career, she has sold 11 million albums and 81 million singles around the globe.
