On Friday, November 6, the journalist Maria Shriver celebrated her 60th birthday with a laidback bash at the Montage Hotel in Beverly Hills, California.
It was the best party in town. The guest list was impossible to beat...Oprah Winfrey, Tom Hanks, Rob Lowe, Sean Hayes and Stevie Wonder.
Oprah captioned an Instagram snap of the legendary singer, Stevie Wonder performing for Shriver. "Stevie Wonder singing 'Happy Birthday to You!' to my dear friend @mariashriver. A phenomenal woman and friend since our 20’s.”
One of the most creative and loved musical performers of the late 20th century, the former child prodigy Stevie Wonder, is an American musician, singer, songwriter, record producer, and multi-instrumentalist.
It was as classy as it gets at the Montage hotel and although her ex-husband Arnold Schwarzenegger wasn't there, three of their four children together - Katherine, (25-year-old), Patrick, (22-year-old) and Christopher, (18-year-old) were present.
According to a source, guests were treated to appetizers, cupcakes displaying vintage photos of Shriver and a photo booth during the party.
Sharing photo booth pics from inside the bash, Patrick and Katherine also took to social media.
The 24-year-old Cristina, one of Shriver's daughter, who wasn't able to make it to the party took time to dedicate an Instagram post to her mom, captioning a throwback photo with, "HBD to goddess!!!!!!!!! Best momma anyone could ever ask for."
After 25 years of marriage, Schwarzenegger and Shriver announced their separation, on May 9,2011 with Shriver moving out of the couple's Brentwood mansion.
Before his election as Governor of California, Schwarzenegger publicly admitted on May 17, 2011 to fathering a child with a longtime member of their household staff, Mildred Patricia Baena, 14 years earlier.
Having earlier confirmed what she had suspected about the child in a confrontation with Baena, Schwarzenegger confessed to Shriver only after she confronted him with the information.
In another part of town, Kris Jenner, had her special night at Gatsby’s theme bash, to also celebrate her 60th birthday. Her A-list of guests that were in attendance at The Lot in West Hollywood, as reported by Us Weekly included Chrissy batters, John Legend, Ryan Seacrest, will Smith and Kyle Richards.
