Australian model Cassi Van Den Dungen has backtracked on her words after facing a major backlash over her Instagram post that only garnered 14 likes.
The 23 year old model, who joined the season of 'Australia's Next Top Model' back in 2009 ranted on social media after her Instagram post didn't receive likes as much as she'd expected.
Cassi decided to have a road trip but before stepping out, she posted a picture of herself which she captioned "say yes to new adventure," adding, "#OffOnAnAdventure and #Roadtrip."
But after two weeks of excitement, the model, who is from Sunbury in Victoria was fazed after she discovered that her post received only 14 likes from her followers. Instead of relaxing from her trip, she lambasted her followers for ignoring her.
"After going away on an amazing holiday/road trip I come home to see my post on new adventures had only 14 likes.....The lowest amount I've ever had on Instagram," she wrote after reposting her message.
The model continued, "I have to say I'm pretty shocked because this, to me, either means that people A) don't like me having new adventures, as if I'm not allowed fun, or B) it means people don't like new adventures....... Either way, all I have to say to those people who didn't like my post and don't like having fun is ......YOU ALL SUCK!!!!! Adventures are fun and I'll enjoy every one I have."
Many commenters have criticized Van Den Dungen's post and accused her of being "shallow." After facing disapproval from her followers, she then responded to the backlash through her Facebook page, insisting that her messages shouldn't be taken seriously.
Van Den Dungen, who has a four year old son named Drake, wrote, "The people who know me or at least understand my type of humour are understanding what I said. It was a light hearted bit of fun. TOO many people are so serious these days. Lighten up!!!" She further insisted that she doesn't care about social media and thanked other users for calling her "fat."
