'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' Update: Trailer Release Date; Producer Dishes Details [SPOILERS, RUMORS & MORE]

"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" is nearing its release, which is why fans are holding on to every bit of information that they can get. There's still no trailer for the film following the San Diego Comic Con, but new reports are saying that producer Charles Roven has revealed new details about the film.

Roven reportedly said that the much-anticipated "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice film will not be overstuffed, keeping track of its main heroes over the secondary characters.

"Batman v Superman" is an introduction of the DC Comics universe. It will therefore feature many of DC's superheroes including Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg, and possibly a lot more.

Because of the huge amount of superheroes to be featured, fans have been anxious that Warner Bros. might be rushing its "Justice League" roster and overstuffing the story altogether.

However, producer Charles Roven put fans' worries at bay after a talk with Collider this week.

Roven said that the upcoming "Batman v Superman" film will focus on central characters and will only tease secondary characters.

"I don't think that's an issue for this film at all. I really don't. I think that the film is calledBatman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, so there's a reason it's called Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and not Dawn of Justice: Batman v Superman," Roven said.

"So you're gonna invest mostly in Batman v Superman and I think that you'll find other characters in there that you hopefully will want to see more of," he added.

This means that the while the film will feature Justice League characters, first and foremost it will be a film about Batman and Superman. This could reportedly mean that the promotional materials of characters such as Aquaman and Wonder Woman are to build up the DC universe, and not necessarily for "Batman v Superman."

"I think like any genre, the movies have to be good and you have to keep the audience engaged," Roven said, before saying, "One of the things that we're doing when we're bringing together the DC Justice League Universe is we're creating not only stories that work for the individual film but they have some resonance to the other films that we're doing."

"And I'm hoping that what's also gonna keep the interest very keen is we're telling hopefully compelling stories," he added.

Roven could be wrong, but since the only movie to come at par with "Batman v Superman" is Marvel's Cinematic Universe, which waited four years before bringing all its superheroes together, if "Batman v Superman" did overstuff, it would feel rushed, not to mention risky.

However, "Batman v Superman" still went on promoting characters apart from Batman and Superman. There have also been rumors of a four-hour cut of the movie, therefore Roven could be wrong. He also neither denied nor confirmed such rumors. He just suggested an extended cut is possible, according to The Escapist Magazine.

"I don't know if you'll ever get the 4-hour version," he explained, "but there may be something that's coming along that might be slightly less long than that," Roven said.

As for the film's teaser, Roven said that a new "Batman v Superman" teaser or trailer might come out before the year ends. While the release date remains unknown, according to Attack of the Fanboy, the studio has yet to reveal a second villain. The rumors say Doomsday is the villain, but no announcement has yet been made.

"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" is set for release March 25, 2016.
