Selena Gomez switched things up at the Victoria's Secret fashion show, where she donned colored contact lenses to turn her naturally brown eyes a grayish-blue.
It was a somewhat surprising choice, considering Gomez usually keeps her look classic, maintaining her glossy brunette locks and a consistent makeup routine.
The 23-year-old says she “wanted to feel like a VS Angel” at the show, and was inspired to wear blue contacts by a Victoria's Secret Angel.
While chatting it up with E! News, Selena revealed that there was a special lady behind her grey-blue contacts that night. "I was inspired by Adriana Lima!" she told them on the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show red carpet.
"I'm a huge fan of hers and I geeked out in front of her today," she continued. "I wanted to feel like a Victoria's Secret Angel."

She was clearly going for an edgier look, wearing a high-slit and plunging neck gown for the occasion, and she followed suit with her beauty by switching up her eye color.
Selena’s makeup artist, Hung Vanngo, was the first to share her new look on his Instagram account. She was pictured wearing her own Victoria’s Secret satin robe, because clearly Selena’s beauty is angel status.
To emphasize the new color, Hung coated the songstress' lids with a haze of coppery-bronze eyeshadow — the perfect complementary hue.
She may stuck to her traditional dark waves and natural looking makeup, but her new aqua eyes were show-stopping.
