’Gods of Egypt’: Gerard Butler Looks Like a GOD in Posters

Who can forget Gerard Bulter as Leonidas in 300? The Spartan leader has a very strong jaw and sculptured body that it's no wonder he looks like a god in the upcoming Gods of Egypt movie. It's as if he just jumped in to the next studio.

Gerard Butler is due to star in Lionsgate's epic fantasy film inspired by Egyptian mythology. He will play Set, the god of darkness. He rules egypt with a mighty fist in darkness and chaos. Of couse, only a hero from the masses will vow to seek vengeance for taking the love of his life and defeat Set. This can only happen though with the help of Horus which will be played by Nikolaj Coster. Both gods will fight for the control of the Nile River Valley which means it's going to be magical and epic.

Check out Butler's smoking hot pose in sandals here.  It's a near cry from his Leonidas costume and face profile. I mean, it's very strong and his eyes can declare war on its own.

There are a lot of magical things we can expect out of this movie. The gods Hathor and Thoth are in on the fun, too. So we expect some sort of hot desert romance and fiery wars, then? It sort of pays if you know your Egyptian mythology but then there are things that might differ - you know, just to make the movie sexier. I mean, do we really expect Hathor, played by Elodie young, to walk as a cow in the desert? I don't think so.

Gods of Egypt is directed by Alex Proyas. Cast also includes Chadwick Boseman, Elodie Yung, and Courtney Eaton.

The film is due to be released in theaters next year on February 26 and will be available in 2D and 3D, as reported by IO9.
