Missy Elliott Releases "WTF" Video

She sure knows how to spice things up this holiday season and her latest material is definitely an early treat for her fans as she makes her big comeback on the limelight. Missy Elliott has just dropped her 'WTF' music video on Thursday, November 12, which she collaborated with the 'Happy' hit-maker Pharrell Williams, according to reports.

The 44-year old singer-songwriter and record producer has just resumed to the music scene after she debuted her last track and her last music video seven years ago.

Reports say that Elliott directed the music video along with her friend Dave Meyers, a film and music video director, who also happens to be a frequent collaborator of the 'Can't Take Me Home' hit-maker, Pink.

Elliott has been in a longtime collaboration with Meyers for several years, in fact, he was the one who either directed or co-directed Elliott's biggest music videos, including her 2001s hit singles 'Get Ur Freak On', 'One Minute Man', 'Take Away/ 4 My People', her 2002s 'Work It', 2003s 'Gossip Folks' and 'Pass That Dutch'.

'WTF' which stands for 'Where They From', brings a futuristic beat, showing Elliott covering herself in the mirrors and flaunting a street wear with pop art. The new music video also features a scene with the marionettes which were made in the image of Elliott and Pharrell.

Reports say that Elliott had been working for some projects behind the scenes since 2012, following the double release of her last singles '9th Inning' and 'Triple Threat' which were under the Timbaland productions. At that time, she continued making music for some artists and even made a huge part of Janet Jackson's record-breaking album 'Unbreakable'.

Prior to the official release of the 'WTF' video, a teaser video snippet was released in late October, which immediately made headlines. While Elliott has been in her best efforts to promote her latest material on social media, she has yet to reveal the title or the official release date of her upcoming album.
