The new TV spot for 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' shows the two protagonists working together against the First Order!
GeekTyrant found the TV spot, which for runs for a full minute and shows Rey (Daisy Ridley) and Finn (John Boyega) running from the their enemies in Jakku, introducing themselves to each other and kicking some First Order butt. Finn is also shown fighting off a Stormtrooper with his lightsaber and Rey being handed a weapon by Han Solo (Harrison Ford).
The 60-second 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' TV spot also features some new dialogue from Kylo Ren, who announces, " I will show them the Dark Side!"
It is becoming clearer that Kylo Ren knows more about the Dark Side than most of the other characters. After all, he is the one who has built his own crossguard lightsaber and is apparently in possession of Darth Vader's ruined mask. There have been several theories about the villain, including one that suggests that Kylo Ren is actually Jacen Solo, the son of Han and Leia who choose to follow the Dark Side in the 'Star Wars' novels.
The TV spot also shows Finn and Rey getting into more action sequences as they take on their enemies. At one point, Rey helps the fallen Finn get up and orders him, "Follow me," The strange thing is, the two protagonists appear to have gone through a lot of action before finding themselves on board the Millennium Falcon, where they finally introduce themselves.
How did Rey end up helping Finn in Jakku, and what is their connection to Kylo Ren? Will the two protagonists be able to defeat the Darth Vader purist? Why is Kylo Ren so fascinated with Darth Vader in the first place?
The truth will finally be unveiled when 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' hits theaters on December 18.
