The Walking Dead: Norman Reedus Breaks Hearts and Confirms ‘That Voice Is Not Glenn’ At The End of The Episode

The Walking Dead fans have waited upwards of three weeks for news of Steven Yeun’s Glenn after the mysterious conclusion of October’s “Thank You,” while Sunday’s “Always Accountable” ended on a mysterious voice that has many debating its significance.

At the end of Sunday’s episode, Daryl Dixon received an SOS call on his walkie-talkie from someone who sounded a lot like presumed-dead Glenn.

It would be a miracle if Glenn survived that horrific zombie raid, but if anyone can survive that, Glenn can. Fans went wild over the possibility that Glenn could still be alive. Turns out it was just wishful thinking and Norman Reedus is setting the record straight.

While fans were given a glimmer of hope regarding Glenn’s fate, Norman revealed in an all-new interview that the man’s voice was not Glenn’s.

“I will say that voice is not Glenn,” Norman told Entertainment Weekly. “It’s not Glenn. But it’s probably somebody at Alexandria with all we know that’s happening there.”

Norman admitted that he was “pissed off” after the episode where it looked like Glenn didn’t make it. “He’s such a beloved character and such a good friend of mine. You know, I saw what I saw in that episode. And I was in that episode. And I was still pissed off at the end of the episode. I was in shock, and I was there!” he told the outlet.

Reedus could be playing us, of course.

One thing is certain: Fans won’t be wondering about Glenn’s fate much longer. Executive producer Scott M. Gimple previously suggested that viewers will get a definitive answer about Steven Yeun’s zombie warrior during the first half of the season, which ends on November 29.

In the meantime, Yeun’s name remains missing from the show’s opening title sequence.

Nevertheless, fans online have been hoping against hope that the voice really was the fan favorite character.
