Fast & Furious Spinoffs and Prequels Being Planned, Says Vin Diesel

The Fast and Furious franchise is not yet closing its doors. In a way, it continues to extend and expand its battery life. Vin Diesel and Universal are already making blue prints for the next prequels and spin-offs in the Fast and Furious franchise.

"We've written our storylines for various characters," Diesel explained.

Diesel has been really vague about the whole situation. Everybody can make their own theories and possible film synopsis but there have been talks that Dwayne Johnson might have his own spin-off since he did have a lead in the the Fast Five series. Or maybe Owen Shaw? His coma-appearance in the Furious Seven might spring a twist in his own personal story after big brother swore vengeance to the man who did him in. And who else could have done him in that Jason Statham. So, is Statham going to have his prequel? Oh, the many things we can think of out of the one liner Diesel has dished out into the fan world.

Maybe the big time crime lord is actually a very Brit and classy mom. Remember that time Helen Mirren was so game to play in a Fast and Furious movie? It just makes sense, doesn't it?

It would also make sense to figure out how the bad guys become bad guys. They could have been good guys before some twisted life changing event happened.

There are so many characters playing big roles with big names, too, coming in and out of the Furious films that the audience could be all over it.

But for now, we can just settle with the fact that they're making three more Fast and Furious movies. The trilogy then might sprout the prequels and spin-offs.

We can just look forward to more Furious movies for the mean time, as posted by Variety.
