Starbucks Apologizes For Satanic Latte Art Served To Louisiana Woman Schoolteacher

Starbucks is apologizing to a Louisiana teacher who claimed that she was served her morning cup of coffee with the mark of the devil written out in caramel syrup.

According to the Washington Times, Louisiana schoolteacher, Megan K. Pinion, was upset after ordering two beverages; she was handed two drinks with caramel designs of the number 666 and a pentagram, which are both well-known Satanic symbols.

The Baton Rouge teacher was "appalled," according to the Washington Times and took to Facebook to air her fury.

"I just purchased two coffees at your Mall of Louisiana location," Pinion wrote Sunday, along with posting a picture of the beverages. "This is how my coffee was served to me. I unfortunately can't give the young man's name who served it because I was so appalled that I could not bring myself to look at him."

Pinion added: "The star is almost okay because it is in your Starbucks logo, the 666, however was quite offensive. I am in no way judging his beliefs or dis-meriting his beautiful artwork, I am however judging his lack of professionalism and respect for others. I am a teacher in the public school system and if I were to present a child of atheist or pagan believers with a Christian art project I could be sued in a heartbeat."

Pinion, who acknowledged she is Catholic, said she would love to share her beliefs with people daily. The post has since going viral, gaining 700 shares and more than 1,500 likes, but has since been taken down. Most Starbucks customers have rallied behind Pinion.

Pinion has received a full apology from Starbucks for the satanic coffee.

"We're taking the complaint seriously and have sincerely apologized for her experience," Tom Kuhn, a Starbucks spokesman, told The Huffington Post on Tuesday. "This obviously is not the type of experience we want to provide any of our customers, and is not representative of the customer service our partners provide to millions of customers every day."

Do you think Pinion over exaggerated?
