Disney Releases 'Girl Meets World' First Official Trailer (VIDEO)

Disney Channel has unveiled the first promotional trailer for the upcoming comedy, "Girl Meets World."

In the 30-second clip actors Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel reprise their roles as Cory and Topanga Matthews from the original hit series "Boy Meets World," and play the parents of 12-year-old Riley and August.

Dad Cory finds Riley and her best friend Maya Fox, played by actress Sabrina Carpenter, trying to sneak out of bedroom window after curfew

"How long do I have to live in my father's world?" Riley asks her parents in the promotional trailer, a reference to the famous 90's sitcom. Cory responds: "Until you make it yours."

The new series will follow Cory and Topanga as they raise their young daughter, Riley, who is played by actress Rowan Blanchard, in New York City. Cory is a history teacher at his daughter's school and Topanga owns an after school joint. The show centers on Riley as she "faces life lessons though her family, friends and school, as her parents did when they were younger."

"Girl Meets World" marks the first official onscreen reunion of Fishel and Savage since "Boy Meets World" ended in 2000 after seven seasons. Several original cast members are scheduled to make appearances in the show including Minkus, played by Lee Norris, Amy and Allan Matthews, played by Betsy Randie and William Russ, Shawn Hunter, played by Rider Strong and Mr. Feeny played by William Daniels.

"I've had a great time being back on set with some of my old friends." Norris told E! News. "It still amazes me how many people love and remember Minkus, and I'm excited for the fans to catch up with him after all these years."

"Girl Meets World" will debut in the summer on the Disney Channel, but no official released date has been announced.
