A video of the NFL quarterback, Johnny Manziel, surfaced on Monday, November 23, holding a bottle of champagne and singing rap lyrics in a DJ's booth at a club in Austin, Texas.
Johnny Manziel went on a liquor bender on November 21 and November 22, during the Cleveland Browns' bye week. He has gotten himself into trouble with partying before and even went to rehab in early 2015.
Manziel promised last week when he got out of treatment he wouldn't embarrass Cleveland's organization while the team was off, but it seems that the athlete was not sincere with his promise as the new video emerged.
Manziel has drawn attention to himself in the past for his party habits and he entered a treatment facility back in January to address it. In October, he was pulled over by Ohio police at which point Johnny admitted to getting into an argument with his girlfriend, Colleen Elizabeth Crowley while driving on span of the highway.
One of the reasons the Browns took Manziel with the 22nd overall pick in 2014 draft is because Johnny Football said he had "grown up" and put the partying behind him. After only two months with the team, that clearly hasn't been the case and the Browns think his partying is actually hurting his play on the field.
Another picture of Johnny surfaced a month later, in which he appears to roll a bill up in a Las Vegas bar bathroom. When concern for him started to increase, he went for rehab for an unspecified reason in January 2014.
Johnny has a bright start in the NFL, being the first freshman to win the Heisman Trophy, the Manning Award and the Davey O’Brien National Quarterback Award while he was at Texas A&M University.
He was then picked for the first round of the 2014 NFL draft, and shined on the field. However, the problems with his behavior began surfacing quickly.
The Browns (2-8) will return to practice Tuesday, when Pettine is certain to be asked more questions about Manziel's antics.
